Happy Monday, sis. It’s week three! And this week may hurt your feelings a little bit. 🤭because we’re talking about time. Now before you get defensive... I KNOW you’re busy. This isn’t going to be one of those emails where somebody tells a woman with a full-time job, aging parents, children, church responsibilities, a house, and fluctuating hormones that she has “the same 24 hours as Beyoncé.” We do NOT have Beyoncé’s infrastructure. Your life is full and that’s reality. But sometimes there’s also time slipping through cracks we never actually notice. Twenty minutes scrolling before bed. Thirty minutes staring at emails you could’ve answered tomorrow. An hour watching something you weren’t even enjoying because you were too tired to make another decision. A lunch break spent working through lunch because corporate has convinced you the building may collapse if you eat your sandwich away from your laptop. So this week: THE GREAT LOCK-IN, WEEK THREE:The Time Reality Challenge For three days this week, I want you to notice where your discretionary time goes. We’re NOT tracking every six-minute increment like you’re billing a client. Relax. 😂 I just want you to pay attention. At the end of the day, put the things you did into one of these buckets: I had to do it. I chose to do it. Girl...I don’t even know where that time went. That third category? That’s the one we’re curious about. Then by Thursday, find ONE 30-minute block you could reclaim. Not ten hours. Only THIRTY MINUTES. Maybe your lunch break one day. Maybe Saturday before everybody wakes up. Maybe Tuesday evening instead of watching the second episode. And listen carefully: I am NOT telling you that every free moment of your life belongs to your business. Rest matters. Fun matters. Sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing because you are DONE with people matters. We are simply getting honest because you can’t build a business around imaginary time. You have to know what you actually have. And sometimes? You have less than you thought but that is information you need to know. Sometimes you discover you have more than you thought and that’s information you need to know too. No guilt and only facts. Hit reply and tell me when your three-day audit starts. Monique P.S. Stewardship starts with knowing what’s actually in your hands, including your time.
